I have recently discovered a new band. Thriving Ivory has quickly become my favorite group.

They are amazing. And on Saturday (a good day, since it was the same day as the hike) I got to go see them LIVE!
They were even fabulous in concert. Thank goodness, it always makes me sad to hear people live and find out that they really aren’t too talented. Anyway… Thriving Ivory is VERY talented, and I would highly recommend them to anyone interested. You may think the lead singer’s voice is weird at first, but trust me, just give it a chance to grow on you, because it probably will. ![]()

I absolutely love hiking in the fall. I think it is so gorgeous. There is a hike near Bountiful that I have recently discovered, thanks to some friends. The hike isn’t hard, so its a perfect walk on a fall day… My roommate, Mandy, and a friend, Allison, and I hiked to Elephant Rock last Saturday… it was perfect… well, except for the HUGE
spider we saw on the trail!
This is Mandy and I

Seriously… this spider was huge (see the red circle), and disgusting…Allison was brave enough to put her hand close to it so the picture would show how big it actually is.

Ok, so these pictures are really old, but I couldn’t post them earlier. I got my haircut, and I think this is the first time that I actually like it cut short… thanks Alisha!! ![]()

It has been a while since I’ve updated my blog. My camera battery wouldn’t hold a charge for a while, but it just started working properly again… so here are some pictures…
My friend, Lindsey, periodically has a bunch of friends down to St George. It is always so much fun! Her family has a huge house with tons of bedrooms and a big pool. And while we are there we usually make it to Zions NP for a hike. This year we hiked Angels Landing. I’ve done it a few times before, but it was harder this year. I think I’m more afraid of heights than I used to be… and its not like I was too brave before either! I do love that hike though, the view from the top is amazing!

this is the famous “Walters Wiggles”

you can see the trail along that rock ledge… yikes!

I made it to the top! – barely![]()

this is Lindsey and I at the bottom, enjoying the river!

I have roommates! They moved in a couple of weeks ago. They are both school teachers in Layton and they started their first year of teaching yesterday. Mandy teaches 5th grade and Jacqui teaches Kindergarten. I had to get pictures of them on their way to their first day of school. ![]()
