The RMdB 4.1 (MySQL) script is a rewrite of version 4.0 with some enhancements added, but mostly changes in the internal mechanism of the code itself. Up to this point, previous versions of RMDatabase (with the exception of Curtis Jewel's earlier 3.2 version) have been supported by ascii "psuedo databases" and I have taken the approach of trying to build a script that will run on its own without any extra database or perl module/package support.

This now changes with version 4.1 (MySQL). Version 4.1 is written in an object-oriented style using strict variables. Because version 4.1 is MySQL backed, you will need to have access to a MySQL database through your account. This is provided automatically through hosting at mission.net, but if you choose to host your mission site off of mission.net, this will be a requirement. You will also need to have the following perl modules installed on your system as well:

• CGI.pm
• DBI.pm (with the MySQL DBD support)

The intent of these scripts is to provide a database that can be utilized by other LDS Mission Network webmasters allowing each to customize various aspects of their database pages. The RMdB 4.1 scripts are available at no cost to other LDS Mission Network affiliated webmasters only.
